Who We Are
A Home for Those Who Deserve One
Maitri Charitable Trust is a public charitable trust based in Dombivli (East), Maharashtra, dedicated to the care and welfare of senior citizens. Founded in 2005 by Dr. Malini Jagdish Nadkarni, the Trust has grown from a local initiative into a recognised institution of elder care.
India's changing social fabric leaves many elderly individuals — the widowed, infirm, or living alone — without care, companionship, or dignity. Maitri was built on the conviction that ageing should never mean abandonment.
Beyond elder care, the Trust extends its reach to abandoned individuals with mental health conditions, orphaned girls, and economically disadvantaged women — ensuring no one is left behind due to age, illness, or poverty.
